Anna Platek

Anna Platek (McGann) was named head coach of the Saint Anselm College women's volleyball program in December of 2023. Prior to her arrival on the Hilltop, Platek piloted Bedford (N.H.) High School volleyball to four straight NHIAA Division 1 state championships and an 80-match win streak.

In year two as the head coach of the Hawks, Platek led the team to a 12-13 record including a 4-5 mark in Northeast 10 Conference play, falling in the quarterfinal round of the NE10 postseason tournament. The Hawks dominated at home, going 8-3 while Platek coached four student-athletes to NE10 All-Conference honors. Junior Hollyn Frano made the NE10 All-Conference Third Team for the second consecutive season, joined by classmate Madeline Burke. Freshmen Mckenna O'Connell and Peyton Elward were both named to the league's All-Rookie Team in their debut seasons for the Hawks.

In her first season at the helm in 2024, Platek guided the Hawks to a 9-15 overall record posting a 3-7 record in Northeast 10 competition and a 6-6 record from the friendly confines of Stoutenburgh Gymnasium. Platek's first NE10 All-Conference selection came from Frano, who made the NE10's All-Conference Third Team.

The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Girls High School Region I Coach of the Year in 2023, Platek compiled a 123-17 overall record in seven seasons as head varsity coach of Bedford High School, earning NHVCA D1 Coach of the Year honors in 2019 and finished runner-up in 2022.

McGann coached three Gatorade Players of the Year as well as three New Hampshire D1 Players of the Year. Under her tutelage, 20 student-athletes earned All-State recognition with 12 going on to play at NCAA Division I, Division II, and Division III institutions.

A former Northeast 10 student-athlete, Platek played collegiately for Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU).

She also serves as the Associate Director and Recruiting Coordinator for the Dynamo New Hampshire Volleyball Club. During her five seasons with Dynamo, Platek has coached the 16U, 17U, and 18U National teams.

Platek holds a bachelor's degree in Marketing from SNHU and resides in Manchester.
